A quick dessert recipe to use up left over hot cross buns.
Ingredients
- Home made hot cross buns (Refer to Special Occasions page)
- Vanilla custard (warm or cold)
- Fresh fruit (sliced)
Directions
| 1. | Cut the hot cross buns in half and toast under a griller. |
| 2. | Place the bottom half of the hot cross bun in a bowl. Pour a bit of custard over the top, add a layer of fruit, then the top of the hot cross bun. |
| 3. | Drizzle the bun with some more custard and serve with some extra fruit. |
Note
Low Chemical / Failsafe, depending on the type of hot cross bun and the fruit used.
