Easter

Store bought Hot Cross Buns aren’t suitable if you have a salicylate intolerance or are on the RPAH Elimination Diet or Failsafe Diet.  Even the fruitless ones have spices.

Home made hot cross buns are easy to make.  The process takes a while because of the rising of the dough, but they don’t require a lot of effort.  Try one of these recipes: for Pear, Fruit (if some dried fruit can be tolerated) or Chocolate Chip (if amines are tolerated) Hot Cross Buns.  Left-over buns can also be used up for dessert.

As an alternative to Hot Cross Buns you can also try Swedish Vanilla Buns or Shells, or Sticky Golden Syrup and Chocolate Buns (could be done without chocolate).
