A Big Blogoversary Thank You

Today is my Blogoversary!

One year ago I started this blog with no idea what I was doing, just the hope that someone would find it valuable.  I’ve had a ball writing the blog and I’ve learnt so much about the blogging in the last 12 months.  This post is to say a big thank you to everyone that has supported me.

Thank you to my followers – on the Blog, RSA, Networked Blogs, Facebook, email and Twitter.

Thank you to other bloggers who have put links to my site on their own blog.  My top 3 referers are:

  1. Clairey Hewitt
  2. REAL MEALS Low Salicylate, Amine and Glutamate (with a Thermomix)
  3. CRAP Mamma

(I also get loads of traffic from Google, but I can’t for the life of me work out why.  Every time I try searching for myself I give up after 5 pages!)

And finally, but most importantly, a BIG THANK YOU to my husband and Oscar who sometimes get abandoned (actually a bit more than sometimes!) while I’m immersed in the blogosphere.

My very first post on 1st August 2010 was Yummy Chocolate Spread.  Since then I have posted over 100 recipes.  My 5 most popular posts are:

  1. Roast Chicken in a Slow Cooker
  2. Nana’s Moist Chocolate Cake
  3. Potato and Leek Soup in the Slow Cooker
  4. Sweet Potato Soup in the Slow Cooker
  5. Banana Bread and Butter Pudding
I still have heaps of recipes to post and my folder of recipes to try is getting bigger and bigger, but I also have some other ideas for posts which I will start working on over the coming months.

I attended the Nuffnang Blogopolis last weekend and had a fantastic time.  I didn’t get to meet (or find!) all the bloggers I wanted to, but I did meet lots of other interesting bloggers and got loads of great ideas from the Master Classes.  It also convinced me that it is time to move to my own domain, so that will be my next project.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported me, and I would love to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see on the blog next year.
