Last weekend we had our Street Christmas Party, so Oscar and I made Christmas Biscuits. The recipe is from the Christmas activity book his grand parents gave him. We took a plate to the party and there were none left to take home.

Simple, easy to make Christmas biscuits. Recipe for children. Low Salicylates.
Ingredients
For the biscuits:
- 1 cup pure icing sugar (sifted)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 1 egg yolk
- 225g unsalted butter (softened and cut into cubes)
- 3 1/2 cups plain white flour (sifted)
- Extra plain white flour (for rolling)
To decorate:
- 2 cups pure icing sugar (sifted)
- Water

- McKenzie Chocolate Sprinkles
- Neslte Smarties
- Hopper 100s and 1000s

Decorating Note: Smarties contain amines and salicylates from the natural food colours. Hoppers 100s and 1000s contain salicylates. McKenzies Chocolate Sprinkles contain amines.
